Theme: The theme for the Week and the Conference is ‘Design Local – Stops at all Stations’, which is a metaphor drawn from the ‘locals’ - this being the popular name for the commuter railway network in Mumbai. The questions are:

- how can we make ‘Design Local’ into an enduring symbol of how design can reach out to people and their everyday lives?
- how may we use ‘Design Local’ as a construct for localizing designs?
- what is the role of design in a connected global world within the context of design that is local?
The Icograda Design Week in India with the theme of 'Design Local - Stops at All Stations' promises to have lively and meaningful events that carry significance for each and one of us in different ways.
